Booking our rental car online via Avis web site www.avis.com.au was simple and quick. We had in mind a Holden Commodore as we were travelling as a family with 2 adults, 2 children and a boot full of luggage. The Commodore accommodate all the family and luggage.

After entering collection and drop off dates, times and locations into the sections on the web site, we viewed different car size options and prices. Selecting the car we wanted, added our credit card details a reservation confirmation was displayed and printed with a follow up confirmation email - nothing could have been more simple and the credit card was not processed until we returned the vehicle.

Collection of the rental car took 15 minutes, from signing the rental form, confirming drivers licence details and additional driver and being handed the keys - we were even shown to where the car was located and we were away.

Customer Service was exceptional and is a feature of Avis that has never been left wanting for all the times we or our associates have hired a vehicle from Avis, either personally or corporately.

The Vehicle - Immaculate condition and spotless. All necessary information from copy of rental agreement, break down contact details and information and map book. We opted for a vehicle withour GPS navigation as we had our own but later rented one with GPS and it was an invaluable aide to getting around unfamililar territory. In other words we never got lost.

During the the 14,000 kilometre trip, the rental car performed immaculately, handled well, was economical on the open road and never subject of a mechanical break down.

Before departing, an inspection of the sevice history showed all servicing had been done rigoursly and thoroughly with a quick personal check of tyres, engine and body - we knew that we had a safe and reliable vehicle.

On returning the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, it was simply a case of the vehicle being scanned in the car park, handing the keys over and that was it.
